Knee Arthrodesis

The knee arthrodesis implant offers a temporary or permanent solution in order to salvage a failed total knee arthroplasty. This could be due to repeated infections, or conditions preventing a knee replacement prosthesis.

The main body of the knee arthrodesis comprises of two parts, which when coupled, interlock and offer stability in the sagittal and transverse planes. These two parts are securely fastened by two bolts. The dimensions of the implant are 29 mm along the sagittal plane and 45 mm along the transverse plane.

For more permanent arthrodesis solutions, customization of the design is possible, which can also accommodate extensions to match the defect.
